Instructions

Potted Plants
Place WaterStor™ sheets(s) on top of 1”-2” of soil in bottom of pot. Use 1 sheet per gallon of soil. Add 1 additional WaterStor™ sheet for every 1-gallon increase in container size. Place additional soil around the root ball. Water thoroughly. See Gallery >>

Established Plants
Slide a knife around the entire inside of the pot, separating the root-ball from the container. Lift the root-ball out of the container with a small garden trowel. Use 1 WaterStor™ sheet per gallon of soil. Add 1 additional WaterStor™ for every 1 gallon increase in container size. Place WaterStor™ sheets under roots and on top of 1”-2” of soil and water thoroughly. How it Works - Video

Hanging Baskets
For plastic or plastic-lined baskets, follow the instructions for potted plants. For sphagnum moss, coconut fiber or other porous liner materials, evenly distribute 3 WaterStor™ in bottom of basket for sizes up to 12” in diameter. Add 1 additional WaterStor™ sheet for each 2” increase in basket size. Fill with growing medium. Water slowly, but thoroughly.

Outdoor Use
For shrubs and bushes, confer with your local garden center for digging the appropriate sized hole. Place one WaterStor™ sheet in the hole per gallon of soil removed. Finish planting and water thoroughly. For planter boxes and gardens, place WaterStor™ sheet(s) in soil, 2”-3” under roots of plants. Finish planting process and water thoroughly. Add the root ball. Fill in around the plant with soil.

Planting a Tree
Dig the appropriate sized hole. Place WaterStor™ sheet or strips at below the root ball. Fill with soil and mulch. Stake as necessary. For information on planting a tree (and a plethora of additional information), see the detailed instructions by the US forest service.
